New European Office in Germany

Bellwood Prestbury has opened a new office in Munich, Germany, to support European organisations working in challenging regions abroad.

The new Bellwood Prestbury office in Munich is headed up by local insurance expert, Frank Reuter, who has worked all over the world supporting international private medical insurance organisations, international rescue providers and corporate schemes.

He sees real potential for Bellwood Prestbury’s specialist services within the German market.

“Germany has a strong international business culture. Even smaller companies quickly look beyond domestic borders for new business. That can be exporting goods and services or setting up overseas offices, factories and distribution centres.

“Here in the Munich region, there are lots of businesses involved in machine parts, precision instrumentation, processing and manufacturing technology who market globally. We also have a strong international chemicals sector. Many of these companies work in Africa, Asia and South America, as well as within other European countries.

“Many of these enterprises may find that they don’t have proper protection against non-payment, political risk or the threat of nationalisation in some of the less stable countries they operate in. Product Liability and Environmental & Pollution cover may prove to be really interesting for them, as well as Evacuation cover and International Health insurance that is valid in high-risk regions.”

As well as supporting clients and liaising with the Bellwood Prestbury team in the UK, Frank enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as looking after the horses and cats that live with him and his wife on a small farm in the Bavarian countryside.
