Private Equity specialist rationalises international coverages
Private Equity Advisors MVision, one of the world’s leading independent international alternative assets placement and advisory firms, asked Bellwood Prestbury to review their international private medical insurance (IPMI) for executives in their UK, New York and Hong Kong offices.
Our brief was to ensure the provision of appropriate benefits whilst reducing unnecessary costs. We employed a two-pronged approach to achieve far more appropriate and cost effective cover for MVision.
- The client had a single worldwide healthcare policy for all their senior executives. We introduced separate policies for the US, Hong Kong and UK executives, rationalising coverage.
- We then entered into focussed negotiations with providers, driving down premiums - and therefore unnecessary costs - in each territory.
MVision now enjoys appropriate cover, at significantly lower cost. And the charge to MVision from Bellwood Prestbury for this service? Absolutely nothing – we get our remuneration in commission from the insurance providers.
