When two extreme sports filmmakers decided that their next project would be skateboarding in Kabul, they turned to Bellwood Prestbury to ensure they would be properly protected.
Any visit to a war-risk area requires special cover. Add the elements of extreme sports and filmmaking, and the challenge of getting the right international insurance cover is almost as great as filming ‘three-sixties’ and ‘ollies’ in the capital of Afghanistan.
Bellwood Prestbury quickly arranged cover direct with underwriters at Lloyd’s of London. Using a Personal Accident policy, we included cover for dismemberment, medical expenses and evacuation, (the client already had adequate death cover).
Liaising with the client, we negotiated terms direct with the underwriters to ensure that the levels of cover met their specific needs, and that exclusions and excesses were kept to a minimum.
