A freelance journalist who works with various magazines and newspapers, needed short-term medical and evacuation cover for an extended assignment in Afghanistan.
One of the issues for the journalist, a self-employed single man without dependents, was getting the right level of cover for his needs.
We looked at a number of potential options on his behalf, before settling on cover with IHI Bupa. We renegotiated the terms of the cover direct with them, increasing the level of disability cover above the standard amount they would normally offer.
